Van Lente Restoration is dedicated to crafting livability. As a small residential design and building firm, we renovate homes in the Kalamazoo area to create living spaces designed to enrich and enhance daily life. We work individually with clients to create spaces that nurture life.

ANDY VAN LENTE
owner and lead designer/carpenter
Andy learned to build while working alongside his father who had a successful contracting business for over 30 years. Andy earned his Masters of Architecture in 2003. He then spent three years as an associate at an architecture firm before he launched his own business designing and constructing residential buildings including lakefront residences.
Dedicated to his community, Andy also worked for over five years for a nonprofit organization providing affordable housing within the City of Kalamazoo. Andy is active in his church and is currently serving as an elder. He serves on the Kalamazoo City Zoning Board of Appeals.
Andy and his wife are country mice who moved to the city and fell in love with city living. Together, they have instilled their two children with a love of community and family. Andy loves to be outdoors whether he’s just working in the yard or biking single-track trails. His idea of the perfect day is enjoying water sports with his family on one of Michigan’s beautiful inland lakes.
